The apartment is in central Paris so many places like Notre-Dame and the Louvre are within walking distance, but it is also perfectly served by bus, trains and metro stations and via the RER, there is a direct connection to the Eurostar, CDG airport and Disneyland®.
For more local travel Paris has a fabulous system of rental bikes called Vélib’. A 1-day ticket only costs about 2€, and you can use Vélib’ as often as you like for 24 hours with the 30 first minutes of each trip free. Click here for more information.
Carnet: When you arrive, buy a Carnet or two at the station (blocks of 10 tickets) if you are going to use the bus and metro occasionally, or buy a Navigo if you are going to use them more than about 4 times in a day per person. They can be used on the Metro, RER within zone 1, tramways, buses, night buses and the cable car of Montmatre. Tickets can be used for transfers made within 1 hour 30 minutes of first use between buses or the metro (not both) if you do not leave the station.
Navigo Decouverte: Open to purchase by everyone, the Navigo is available at weekly and monthly prices from Zones 1-2 to Zones 1-5. A Navigo pass with Zone 1-5 coverage will include unlimited travel to Orly and CDG airports as well as Paris Disneyland®.
Metro: The Métropolitan chemin de fe is reasonably cheap and reliable. Within 10 minutes walk you can find 6 metro stations 1, 3, 4, 7, 11 & 14 taking you directly to many areas of Paris.
RER Map: The Réseau Express Régionale is 5 express train lines connecting Paris city center and acts as an express underground or subway train that also goes to the suburbs. The apartment is 10 minutes walk to 3 of them, A, B & D at Châtelet-les-Halles.
Bus Map: Paris buses are a cheap and great way to see the sights! There is a bus straight to the Opera, and to many other areas of the city. Most bus stops have a small display telling you when the next two buses are arriving.

Gard du Nord, Eurostar: One stop on the RER D (green) or 10 minutes or so on the Metro 6 (purple).There is also a bus that goes directly there within walking distance.
Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport:
Train: The quickest and least expensive is by taking the RER B (blue) suburban city train leaving from either CDG Terminal 2 or Terminal 3/Roissypole, it is reliable, inexpensive and takes about an hour. Follow the signs for the RER B3 (blue) towards Paris (Robinson, Antony, St-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse) to Châtelet-les-Halles, which is 10 minutes walk from apartment. Exit: Rue Rambuteau.
There is also the Roissey bus
Orly (ORY) airport:
Train: Take the Orlyval train to Antony station then the RER B (blue) in direction of Paris to Châtelet-les-Halles which is 10 minutes walk from apartment. Exit: Rue Rambuteau.

Disney Land: The RER also goes directly to Disneyland® in an hour. Take the RER A (red) from Châtelet-les-Halles to Disneyland® Paris Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, a 2-minute walk from the Disneyland® parks.
Beauvais Airport (BVA): is accessible by Ter train (Transport Express Régional) from Gare du Nord to Beauvais city center, then shuttle bus or taxi. Beauvais Airport is located in Tillé, 3.5km north east of Beauvais. There is no train station at the airport.
